• Reviews around ink (1.90 of 5)

Epson Expression Photo XP-960 Wireless Color Photo Printer with Scanner and Copier, Amazon Dash Replenishment Enabled

    • The ink is no longer available and I feel like Epson just stole $200 from me
    • Will never buy an epson again. too picky on their overpriced ink.
    • Ink is expensive, but that is not new news
    • It seems to clean the ink jets automatically which makes me wonder about excessive ink use.
    • Buy all the right ink, triple check all the right settings, use the right paper, and still watch as over $300 in printer/ink/supplies sits on your desk, completely useless
    • I tried LD ink but the printer rejected it.
    • The 960 uses six ink cartridges, as opposed to five in the 830.
    • Sucks up the ink much faster than advertised
    • Not a problem if I felt it was empty, but as the page I printed previously came out good, I feel like there's still a lot more ink in there
    • I often find that this prints streaks and smears inks on the pages and I cannot find the reason why
    • The print quality is O.K., but it uses a lot of expensive ink.
    • I dare not do a multi-page run (which is what I bought it for), as I expect every couple of pages will be "ink globed" and would smear on the back of the previous sheet.
    • However, as also mentioned by other reviews, if you aren't using this every day, the printer will decide that the brand new ink you installed a couple weeks ago is no longer satisfactory for it
    • If only I could find cheaper ink that would work.
    • Constant banding issues, ink cartridges that never wanted to align, and a need to clean the heads so frequently that it wasted as much ink as it used for actual printing
    • Has ths company discovered a novel way to run through expensive ink even faster?
    • The ink is extravagantly expensive.. not to mention a pain in the butt to find in stores
    • Only complaint is one that I knew before the purchase - the ink is expensive.
    • Sucks up the ink much faster than advertised
    • I have previously used a huge Canon photo printer, but the ink was ridiculously expensive so I eventually got rid of it
    • Though they will not be quite to the level of Epson's higher end photography oriented printers using the Ultrachrome inks, the photographs produced by the printer will surpass the expectations of the casual photography and deliver what the more dedicated amateur photographer is expecting
    • Well, if you like buying ink regularly and often, this is the printer for you
    • My main concern about purchasing this printer was the ink
    • So you won't be wasting time, ink, and photo paper trying to get the colors right
    • It is pretty much designed to hold your printer hostage till you buy more expensive ink.
    • Our only concern is that the printer is slower than our other epson, and the ink is very expensive, and doesn't last as long
    • My concern for this printer is that it does have a separate black ink cartridge for document printing like XP-830 all in one.
    • I wish I had read all the reviews warning people that the ink is basically not available for purchase ANYWHERE
    • This Epson is much smaller with more affordable ink
    • I had a smudge of something unknown on a print, and went through water, lighter fluid and paint remover to get it off, and the ink was not harmed.
    • The inks are so vivid and deep.
    • The ink is costly and the colors are not always accurate (even if it is a simple palette)
    • As with all printers, it sucks up the ink and yet gives you a good print.
    • There ink is super expensive, I love the printer but all of my other everyday printers from epson use to be able to use third party inks
    • And the ink is not available in stores
    • The only positive I can give this is that it's pretty cool looking
