I tested the LESHP projector that amazon sells for under $200, bad... really bad color depth, the image looks awful!I own the Epson PowerLite 3lcd DVD combo

You can stand off to the side of the screen and the image is still amazing!

A fixed screen with a frame on all sides will provide a smoother viewing surface and better image quality if you can dedicate the room for it.--
