The fan seemed a bit loud to me when I was testing the projector initially on the table top, but after having installed it on the ceiling, I hardly notice the fan noise at all

The projector is mounted on the ceiling (8ft ceilings) and we do not hear any fan noise.

As soon as I switch to HDMI1, loud cranking fan noise starts

Personally, I get used to it after while, but if you are bothered by fan noise, you will be better off watching in one of the other modes with less ambient lighting

If I use the "Native" resolution, the 1080p contents are scaled up to match the 4k resolution and the image is not as good as with the Epson 2040 which has a native resolution of 1080p and does not do any scaling

The UBP –x800 player is also highly recommended as it is quick and easy to use with some great features
