Got this great Epson after doing a ton of digging and searching on what I needed.
-
Bottom line is that Epson clearly has issues with this product and continues to sell it in the US market anyway,
-
I had a 'top notch' computer tech in and it is his opinion that Epson is not keeping up with the changes in Windows 10 to support this unit
-
This Epson is reasonable fast with good features (like digital ICE) and produces results I am very satisfied with
-
I would recommend this scanner for price and quality of output, but I think Epson has some work to do to address the issue of the software closing after each scan.
-
Top notch, epson.
-
I had some underexposed Kodachromes that didn't scan well with the Nikon, and I wouldn't have expected a $200 "document" scanner to top my old Nikon scanner - but for the underexposed slides, the Epson is far superior - and you get to scan 4 slides at a time, rather than one at a time with the Coolscan.
-
The Epson support person, while very polite, didn't try anything that I hadn't already tried.
-
Got this because the Epson WorkForce DS-510 Color Document Scanner has worked out so well for my document scanning.
-
Thank you, Epson, for making this possible.
-
To work on MAC /Windows or any platform, Epson is responsible for keeping updated drivers
-
So I waste a half hour talking to an Epson "Support" person who sounded like she had just been hired and who seemed to know less than I about my Epson scanner.
-
Well done Epson.
-
You can download the scanner driver from Epson support web site, but it does not include ArcSoft PhotoStudio.
-
Epson has done their homework with their products and I would highly recommend this scanner to anyone.
-
Contacted EPSON very poor customer service.
-
I am very impressed how well the Epson V600 does getting crisp, clear scans.
-
Epson, sweet and dear Epson, this is my parting of ways with you
-
This Epson V600 scanner is absolutely the best.
-
and, you're as successful as Epson, you must be doing something right.
-
It doesn't seem like Epson has made much progress in the last 7 years.
-
So you win this one "Epson", however, I'm informing everyone I can about your product, and customer (no) service
-
Epson scanning program freezes after scanning only a couple of negatives.
-
Big Epson fan and like to have my scanner and printer match
-
Always trust Epson for the best in scanners and printers.
-
They are indeed for non-photo type scans.--- Epson Support
-
And since Epson is lousy, I will never buy anything again from Epson in life!
-
I love the Epson V600.
-
Epson never bothered to share this with me.
-
The Epson software works
-
Fast and the Epson software that is bundled with it is pretty good
-
Epson is the top of line for me
-
This Epson is wonderful and the Adobe software ROCKS!
-
I will give it 4 stars because Epson was gracious enough to replace each one of them for me.
-
Epson scan software if fair.
-
The slide/negative holders are totally useless and Epson should be ashamed of themselves.
-
In sum, I would highly recommend the Epson V600 to ANYONE who wants to convert their film, slides, and photos to digital without having to spend an arm and a leg to do it.
-
Sorry, Epson, that's totally unexceptable.
-
Interesting - EPSON ask me to review the V-600 just the other day (9/14 and filled out their request on 9/21 and it was rejected on 9/22 because it did NOT fit their profile - Very interesting
-
Software is available that works but lacks the features of the Epson software like scanning slides which I needed.
-
Overall the Epson works very well, the supplied software works OK but does not allow you to manipulate the image as well as say, Photoshop or other higher end software.

-
This Epson V600 will be perfect for the job.
-
I had bought a cheap Epson printer/scanner and the lid broke off after a year and some of the color was bad in the scans.
-
Replaces an old Epson one and I love the brand
-
I struggled a bit to get the software loaded; however, Epson's technical customer service was very helpful
-
This is my third Epson scanner and the best so far.
-
Epson Perfection V600 - Slide Holder & 35mm Film Holder Or Film Guide Negative Or PositiveI was able to find brackets for 110 size film online someplace.
-
But I can't tell at this point, because once I got the driver, all the Epson sites (as well as disc) finally recognized my OS and allowed me to download the scanning software
-
After determining that their product was defective and needed to be replaced, Epson wanted my credit card number, Amazon receipt and a picture of the serial number
-
Bottom line: the Epson V600 performed well, was easy to use, and I'd recommend it to anyone as a relatively low-cost alternative for a personal scanner.
-
and what's more astonishing is how archaic the Epson software to scan photos is
-
My previous Epson Perfection lasted for years and was still working fine when I found my operating system upgrade made it obsolete.
-
When it is done, try to scan using the Epson Scan softwareToo bad Epson can't add a couple of sentences to their install guide to the effect that Macs MIGHT need a different install procedure, as I've seen many manufacturers over the years who've done this
-
That's because the Epson is truly scanning the original negative or photo
-
My old faithful Epson Perfection 4870 Photo scanner had bit the dust and on the Epson web site, they recommended the Perfection V600 Photo scanner as a replacement
-
Epson DOES NOT have a toll free number for technical support and the toll free “customer service” number on the internet is for sales only.
-
The new Epson is faster, easier and the price was great also
-
Epson refuses to replace or fix.
-
I couldn't use my really great Epson perfection 1340? year 2000 scanner.
-
Epson was highly recommended by someone whose opinion I trusted.
-
I called Epson's technical support
-
This Epson is perfect out of the box!!!
-
Epson has a winner here
-
I purchased the scanner knowing from past purchases of Epson products that they just work
-
i can't say enough words to give it the perfect satisfaction .. plain and simple it is the best machine thank you Epson and job well done for this
-
Anyway, here's what the more knowledgeable Epson tech sent me, which may help others:1
-
Epson not so good in terms of tech support!
-
but I liked the Epson
-
Thank you, Epson!
-
Thank you Epson for keeping creative people in mind when you design your products.
-
There are better Epson scanners out there that will create huge images but cost an arm and a leg
-
The Epson V600 is much faster and much easier to use.
-
The Epson does scan negatives and slides which of course the HP does not
-
I was buying another brand scanner before, but Epson is now my number one favorite.
-
I love my new Epson.
-
The Epson V600 is great for scanning family photos and other photographic prints.
-
It took him a couple days and he favored the Epson v850 for around $1000
-
The original Epson V600 was defective and had to be replaced under warranty
-
The Epson will number the slides sequentially as "England001, England002, etc
-
Not sure why EPSON is still selling this product when it does not support Windows 10
-
I wish I could re-scan everything after seeing how beautiful this Epson works.
-
but Epson was easy to get help from and got my-
-
Epson is to be commended for making changes for improvement, rather than so they could claim changes.
