Got this great Epson after doing a ton of digging and searching on what I needed.

Bottom line is that Epson clearly has issues with this product and continues to sell it in the US market anyway,

I had a 'top notch' computer tech in and it is his opinion that Epson is not keeping up with the changes in Windows 10 to support this unit

This Epson is reasonable fast with good features (like digital ICE) and produces results I am very satisfied with

I would recommend this scanner for price and quality of output, but I think Epson has some work to do to address the issue of the software closing after each scan.

I had some underexposed Kodachromes that didn't scan well with the Nikon, and I wouldn't have expected a $200 "document" scanner to top my old Nikon scanner - but for the underexposed slides, the Epson is far superior - and you get to scan 4 slides at a time, rather than one at a time with the Coolscan.

The Epson support person, while very polite, didn't try anything that I hadn't already tried.

Got this because the Epson WorkForce DS-510 Color Document Scanner has worked out so well for my document scanning.

You can download the scanner driver from Epson support web site, but it does not include ArcSoft PhotoStudio.

Epson has done their homework with their products and I would highly recommend this scanner to anyone.

Interesting - EPSON ask me to review the V-600 just the other day (9/14 and filled out their request on 9/21 and it was rejected on 9/22 because it did NOT fit their profile - Very interesting

Software is available that works but lacks the features of the Epson software like scanning slides which I needed.

I struggled a bit to get the software loaded; however, Epson's technical customer service was very helpful

My old faithful Epson Perfection 4870 Photo scanner had bit the dust and on the Epson web site, they recommended the Perfection V600 Photo scanner as a replacement

The new Epson is faster, easier and the price was great also
