The V600 produced a blurry image using both the film holder and another scan placing the negative directly on the scanner glass.

When I moved from Windows XP to Windows 7 a few years ago, the scanner would no longer work as it was not compatible with the later operating systems and it was time to retire it anyhow.

this scanner is outstanding very easy to use the only drawback is the slide tray a little sloppy would be a lot more easy if you where able to swap out slide trays but other then that I find it

Set too high, the scanning process would simply freeze (the scanning software, not the computer), and I'd have to start the scan over at a lower resolution

The process is easy - I followed the guidelines of another reviewer who wrote excellent instructions on how to do it.
