Epson makes excellent printers but with such cheap parts that the useful life is unreasonably short, and their authorized repair shops unreasonably expensive.

Although the printer is still under warranty, Epson is now REFUSING to honor their stated warranty because it was not sold through one of their "authorized" resellers

Epson has not issued an update to fix this software issue although they have been great about sending firmware updates for the printer.
