The printer will automatically switch either the Photo Black or Matte Black ink depending on the selected paper profile

I find I am now grading my photos in terms of the size I am willing to print them with - and studying them much more closely to see what I can learn to improve future photos

For B&W prints I used the Advanced B&W Photo setting

So I now just let the printer manage color since that also simplifies using the Advanced B&W Photo

I enjoy printing, mounting & framing my photos.
