Once the desktop menu was opened and the prompt initiated, the lightening fast scans began.

My previous scanners (some which cost more than this) always perturbed me with their unclear or disheveled scans.

The scanning itself is CLEAR and STRAIGHT.

I had the resolution up really high and OCR turned on, and the scans and processing were still so fast

Overall, I am pleased with the actual scanner and the ability to make crystal clear scans at a super fast pace.

I learned that I need to clean the glass every 50-100 photos, check the images every 10 pictures or so to make sure they aren't striped, and move photos/documents from one container to another *in order* as they come out of the scanner, so that if I end up with 15 unacceptable scans, I can just re-scan the last 15 documents in the "done" box--I don't have to go through the whole box to find the ones I need.

I don't consider this a big issue, as the EPSON Scan software worked just fine
