It seems like it would be straight up, but it is far from it, and this is from a guy that has worked in IT all his life trying to keep things easy

I really wanted to like this thing...

Again, I don't fully trust cyber space to not lose things, get a virus etc, so I also suggest flash drive storage if you want to be safe

We scan directly to PDF and this thing runs like a champ!

I'm a big fan of products like this which does one thing really well

I spent an excessive amount of time downloading, re-installing, and attempting to find solutions just to get this stupid thing to scan one page - never did happen

You would think spending $300+ on a scanner would get you a good scanner but this thing is junk, I'm trying to run my tax firm and this is a key component, and it errors out all the time, then I have to restart the computer just to get it to work again.

One thing I did like is that it has dual page scanning (in case someone brings a double sided document).

This thing is freaking awesome, but some pointers on its use!!!!!!I first set it up on usb cable, used it according to the instructions, and it worked awesome.

I wasted 2 hours and 19 minutes on the phone with their tech people and not only did they not resolve my issues, but I am pretty sure some of the advice they gave me regarding files and other such things has messed up my computer

Only limitation other than maximum 8-1/2" wide paper size is that it won't feed old polaroid-type pictures and won't feed/scan things like Christmas cards with a picture affixed or similar multi-layer items.

Software was really quick and easy to understand and this damn thing is changing my life.

Honestly, I love this thing
