Ernie Ball Cobalt Regular Slinky Set, .010-.046

    • I just did not like the feel of these and did not notice a tonal improvement.
    • The "slightly rough" feel I mentioned, or what someone else called "cat tongue feel" has really driven me nuts
    • What surprised me was the brittle, sharp feel of the strings
    • Second, they seem to have a "sharp" feel to them
    • The dobhave a nice feel and work great when adding a bit of vibrato, but they really only sound good when laying down an 80s type solo
    • Really nice feel to them
    • I haven't had them long enough to vouch for their longevity but they sound great with nice overtones and excellent feel.
    • These strings have a snappier feel and a louder volume (amplified) than regular nickel / steel strings
    • These strings do have quite a smooth feel to them and the sound is perfect for just about any style of playing.
    • I'd appreciate the feel more if the 3rd was wound, cause' it feels like I'm playing a silky smooth string, then I go up to the 3rd, and BAM
    • These strings have a very strange feeling to them and do not feel right under my fingers when playing
    • I bet you anything you will adjust within seconds and you will appreciate the feel and sound more so than any other strings out there
    • They also have a good feel to them
    • Over all great feel, great tone, and i don't know if it is the guitar or the new strings but there is just rediculous amounts of susstain
    • Personally I didn't like the feel of these strings
    • The feel is hard to describe, it's almost "gritty"
    • When they are new, they have a nice soft feel.
    • Love how soft these feel and the crunchy tone that I got with
    • Strings sound great, have the best feel of any Ernie Ball strings I've tried
    • Perfect tone, smooth feel
    • I played my guitar in standard, and the output was amazing very bright and clear sound, but when I put my guitar back into drop B the strings lacked the low heavy sound I'm used to, and they sounded bright even though my guitar was in Drop B, but the strings are amazing great texture and great feel to them very comfortable to play with.
    • These strings have a great sound to them as all Ernie Ball strings do, but the feel of them is unbearable
    • I love the feel of them!!
    • A nice bright, full sound, and extremely playable feel make these strings my new favorite goto strings for my guitars.
    • What surprised me was the brittle, sharp feel of the strings
    • Nice feel and tone
    • Good feel
    • Easier bends, silky smooth feel, and tone to die for
    • They have a GREAT tone and AMAZING feel
    • However these have a nice feel and do not get sloppy with drop tunings.
    • Great feel to them and nice sounding.
    • More bass, louder, and a smoother feel when sliding.
    • If you're not bothered by a rough feel and want a killer bright tone, they're perfect for you
    • They have a nice feel to
    • The feel of the strings is what I liked the most - they're very smooth and they don't seem to cut into your fingers at all, also making slides not only quicker but less noisy (less of that sliding sound we've all grown so used
    • I like the feel and sound of these strings very much.
    • Feel The cobalt strings have a stiffer feel to them than a normal super slinky string, it does not exactly take more pressure to bend a string, but it is most definitely a noticeable difference
    • Fantastic tone, very smooth feel
    • That being said, it takes a bit of an adjustment getting used to the silky smooth feeling of these strings
    • I really like the feel of these strings
    • My problem was the feel
    • These are most likely the only strings I will buy from now on due to the increased output, silky smooth feel, and the vibrant tones you get from these
    • They have a good feel, last a long time, have good tone, and dial in very rapidly without a lot of tune and retune
    • Great sound and very nice feel to the strings
    • More bass, louder, and a smoother feel when sliding.
    • They pick-up so well and have such a great feel.
    • the feel and flexibility is outstanding
    • Back to the Cobalts, I did not like the feel when bending a note
    • I am not a fan of these stings, I do not like how they are wrapped, they create too much drag on my fingers, they tarnish too fast (even when cleaning the strings after playing), and had the bottom E string unravel loose at the bridge and break while playing.
    • Sadly I didn't get a chance to try them out on my amp, because the Hi-E broke (see
    • High e string broke before meeting pitch.
    • Oh, and I don't break the E (9's) string any more
    • The low E string broke as soon as I got it in tune
    • In the set I used before this, the low E was dull; it didn't match the sound or the output of the other strings
