Escort iX Long Range Radar Laser Detector

    • I really like the increased sensitivity to false alarms
    • — and the alarm sounds well in advance of the cruiser having line of sight
    • False alarms are non existant.
    • It still includes Autolearn technology to minimize false alarms, also
    • The only major flaw is that the "mute memory" which you use to skip areas where you know the alarm will always be tripped, does not work well
    • The top of the unit has the controls: Volume, Mute (also used to lock out a false alarm), sensitivity for driving conditions (Auto, AutoNox, Autolok, and highway), brightness (minimum, medium, max, auto, dark), and Mark (to mark location for alerts).
    • It gives plenty of notification ahead of time and really filters out a lot of false alarms pretty well compared to others
    • This unit went of with false alarms on every new car we passed
    • The app is really good to have too as it will often help users protect each other by posting sightings and false alarms, traps etc
    • The Auto lock and Auto learn features are great and it filters a lot more false alarms (ex. radio waves that other cars emit like active cruise control, auto braking, blind spot monitor etc..) than previous generation radar detectors.
    • All you have to do is press the Mute button 3 times and it GPS marks that location and false alarm and it is saved!
    • The old unit false alarmed constantly and became useless
    • Definitely recommended, minimal false alarms and learns like a champ
    • It features the radar or laser detected, signal strength, your current speed and the posted speed limit (if connected through the app).UseCity and suburban driving necessitates decreasing the sensitivity to avoid false alarms.
    • Definitely recommended, minimal false alarms and learns like a champ
    • Good detector, lots of false alarms, unless you use app.
    • Not annoying sound when alarms.
    • Some people complain that they get false alarms from certain cars with adaptive cruise control and other accident avoidance systems
    • A nice feature is that it learns false alarms, also.
    • Not only does it not false alarm at every new car I drive by, but it uses GPS and learns where the fixed base speed signs are and locks them out so they no longer alert you
    • but I can say the false alarms that I use to get on my passport 8500 have been eliminated.
    • You can set the mode to match the radar settings mostly commonly used in your area, and if there are a lot of false "K-band" alarms in your area you can set to "LowK" which will not omit the strength of police radars but will ignore weaker signals in that band from banks and other sources
    • More importantly, I don't want false alarms that just annoy me
    • alarms has made driving in town enjoyable again
    • As for the efficiency, the newer circuitry seems to have reduced false alarms considerably over my past model.
    • I do not get as many false alarms from electronic doors or other unnecessary signals.
    • , it is the following:I would buy the Escort simply because of its GPS and GPS marking of known false alarms like grocery stores and stationary
    • Over all, I am extremely happy with this replacement for my older stolen unit both for it's sensitivity, screening of false alarms, ability to learn and adapt, relative size and attractive and rock solid attaching windshield mount
    • I drove past would set off a double K band false alarm.
    • Zero false alarms and rock solid performance...
    • Stopping false alarms is worth its money in gold to me.
    • In Vehicle Technology filters that are in newer model vehicles that prevent false alarms.
    • Just as perfect as what I need.
    • It is a high quality detector that works as good or better than any of the competitors
