All in all, it looks nice, the performance seems excellent, it rejects radar from other vehicles pretty well, and the mount is solid.

The windshield sticky mount works great, but I'm not sure how it will hold up if you move it back and forth between different vehicles

Other reviewers have written excellent reviews on the features of this unit and I will let them give you their opinions (I agree with them!).The reason for writing this is to warn you---DO NOT fall for the "Frequently Bought Together" bundle that they recommend, or at least DON'T buy the sticky windshield mount.

The new EZ Mag mount is a great improvement to the old mounting methods.-Mount the suction cup to your window and place the radar detector up to the mag mount for a secure fit/click-Tighten the adjuster knob on the right to ensure the radar is sitting at a level position-Plug in the smart cord to the radar and into your cigarette port-Done!You have several different modes to choose from: Highway, Auto, Auto No X, and Auto Lo K.

This Radar is very well designed and looks great and has a great mount as well and on top of that this thing can alert from miles coming from someone who owed a 5 year old 50 dollar

The mount has been improved, too with a magnet mount that attaches and disconnects easily, but holds the unit solidly with no rattle

And the magnetic mount is much easier to install/remove from the base mount

Right now, you can buy a Max 2 from Amazon for substantially less than the iX. You give up the nicer mount, and get a detector that's a bit larger, but the guts are essentially the same

Item is missing the Escort mag mount and instead contained a non Escort mount which is not compatible with this device

The four color options are great and the new mount is way better no more bouncy suction cups or falling off during summer months
