Very reliable product it picks up bands up to 2miles away for KA and K, as I have X band detection turned off, also the fact that it detects what and where the speed limit zones are is incredibly useful when going on road trips to areas your not familiar with or other states, at the time of purchase $499 was steep but very worth it since a ticket is cheap but insurance is not

If you are buying a new detector this probably isn't a bad bet if you can get it on sale but as far as upgrading from an already good Escort product I am not sure it is worth it
