Escort still has not implemented many of the reasonable features its users have been asking for a while now (over a year now)
-
If you can afford it, the Max 2 is a good radar detector if you are interested in good radar protection without having to mess with/program a unit, you want reasonable false alert suppression (especially if you live in a city/urban environment) and you like the features the Max has to offer
-
Great detector, love the lock out feature for store motion detectors
-
Have not figured how to turn that very irritating feature off yet
-
Love the features
-
It looked quite nice, and had a very nice feature set.
-
Red light camera detector is also an excellent feature.
-
I also like this feature because it makes it easy to remove when I leave my car parked outside for longer periods of time
-
The other amazing feature is how few false alarms I get.
-
The Max is feature rich and could be considered the Cadillac of Escort radar detectors
-
That is a nice feature to have but not worth paying $600
-
In fact, that's the best feature
-
As far as the warnings go.. Being GPS enabled, it does help learn/filter out false alarms which is a nice feature
-
My favorite feature is the 'over speed' alert, I have it set to tell me when I am 10 mph over the speed limit.
-
Think of the Max 2 as a faster, longer range, more feature rich version of the 9500ix (another older Escort radar detector), just like the original Max is
-
There are great features such as " No X" that keep those radar bands from setting your radar off and the speed monitor, you set, that alerts you when you exceed the speed you set it
-
The GPS lock out feature for K bands is nice, as I pass a lot of speeding signs
-
The learning feature is wonderful
-
The mute button on the charger is also a nice feature
