Purchased Max 2 and liked the radar features but the unit was very noisy and loose fitting to the windshield mount and would fall out on occasion

My unit split in Half the first month despite taking good care of it and never dropping on the Floor

While Escort has touted this unit as highly upgradable and they did do multiple updates to fix bugs and add a small amount of requests to the Max, the Max still has a long way to go regarding updating its firmware/software to continue to quiet the unit down from false alerts and to get features added multiple people have been asking for (more on this later).Conclusion

as for the radar itself maybe I just got a bad unit , in 8 hours on the road I passed maybe 15

Even placing it in the small region of the windshield that is created for this purpose (without a metal layer)... the unit will drive you nuts LOST GPS

I call the customer service line to find out where I should send this defective unit

I think this is a pretty riduculous overstatement and gives the impression that the unit moves around like a ping-pong ball on the windshield.

This unit, coupled with a free smart phone app is easy to use, really seems to do the job and provides a certain amount of peace of mind...
