    Escort RedLine 0100025-1 Radar Detector

    • Its still saved me from plenty of tickets so its paid for itself in the years that I've owned it, overall a good purchase and works generally as intended against Florida Highway Patrol, which I encounter daily on my commute to work.
    • Escort did the work free of charge, we just paid about $10 shipping, and got it back in perfect working order in a week or two
    • I have two old escort passports x50 (5 years) and till this day the work great
    • TSR enabled and "sens" on works pretty well against BSM (blind spot monitoring) systems on K band but it still falses a lot
    • It seems to be working fine although I haven't tested it on the radar sign as of yet
    • Radar detection on K and KA band is great and laser detection does work but am not sure how effective it be if you are caught really speeding as it would not give enough time to change the speed.
    • This thing does excellent work provided that you set it up according to what radars are used in your state
    • As luck would have it, within 48 hours the sound stopped working, I then searched the net for Escort Dead Speaker and voila, known issue with this unit
    • So I disabled the K and X band (I live in Minneapolis where only laser and Ka band is used).
    • I just recently had a city police car with K band camp out at night in an intersection where I normally get a K band false from a fast food place
    • Pros:-excellent range and sensitivity (vs 9500ix)-programmableCons:-Very sensitive (a lot of false K
    • In terms of falsing, the K band falses have been a little annoying, especially when it ramps up to a solid tone almost instantly
    • In fact, turning the POP setting on will actually DECREASE the warning distances on all frequencies except 33.8 GHz Ka (where as the POP setting on the V1 does not result in nearly as much of a range reduction and actually improves K-band sensitivity and reactivity)
