Etymotic High-Fidelity Earplugs, ER20XS Standard Fit, 1 pair, Polybag Packaging

    • All sounds are still obviously "loud," but using these is like having my own personal dimmer.
    • Left both concerts with no ringing in my ears and was able to enjoy full spectrum sound unlike other types of earplugs.
    • I highly recommend these if you want to enjoy a fuller range of quieted sound than you can achieve with standard earplugs or wads of tissues
    • They do not limit the sound, they just lessen the hit.
    • The sound that comes through is still crystal clear, just with lowered decibels
    • These plugs cut sound considerably but don't interfere with my ability to hear sirens or approaching vehicles
    • Listening to the punishing sounds of Carcass, I was so surprised by the clarity and range from these that I had to take them out 3 times just to make sure that they were actually doing the job
    • Excellent sound
    • Pretty good at blocking out sound, however, I don't really like the nubs as much...
    • Are comfortable to wear and work well, but still allow desirable sounds to be heard.
    • They do seem to provide fairly accurate sound reproduction
    • Great fit and great sound
    • Good fit and great sound
    • Sound was not noticeably better than foam acoustic plugs that cost a fraction of the price.
    • To top it off there was almost no change in sound and no protection from the loud sound of the band I play in
    • The sound was still clear yet comfortable
    • Foam plugs, although quieter, distort the sound.
    • I am really sensitive to sound, particularly bad quality sound, and so often wear ear plugs, especially when I go to a movie.
    • Foam plugs, although quieter, distort the sound.
    • They block out sound pretty well
    • I'll be ordering the larger size for actual use, because these were so small they'd leak some sound if I moved around
    • As most of music lovers know, most of the clubs out there have really bad sounds systems which destroy your ears
    • bad plastic, fall out of ear, doesn't even shield sound.
    • Convenient carrying case, can be inserted easily and discreetly, comfortable, would prefer Them to block out even more noise like the wax earplugs, but they provide great protection from very loud sounds.
    • Pretty good at blocking out sound, however, I don't really like the nubs as much...
    • I like these earplugs because they come in a nice little pop keychain case that makes it very useful whenever loud sounds are present.
    • I will say on the positive side that sounds weren't oddly muffled, it seemed like a pretty flat dampening across frequencies, but that just increased my awareness that they didn't seem to be blocking nearly enough sound for me
    • Maybe I need to use them for a bit longer, and the tips need to expand a little bit to seal my ear canal more, but I just think sound is clearer with this than with the previous model and this is the difference I hear making me feel the sound level doesn't get lowered as much a ER20s used to
    • They block enough sound to protect my
    • At many venues, I've had to remove foam plugs because they obscured and distorted the sound too much
    • I have sensitive ears from Ménière's disease and loud sound or vibrating bass causes me to get really dizzy.
    • I have tried 4 separate high end Fidelity earplugs and these were hands down the best sounding.
    • These plugs cut out the really high crisp sounds and make the drum sound more like a tenor.
    • They work very well the sound at concerts is still natural, just quieter.
    • I wouldn't recommend them for working around loud sounds such as gun fire or heavy equipment.
    • Excellent muffler for high frequency noise as I suffer from tinnitus, sound still comes in but softer not harsh.
    • The sound was very clear and instantly relieved the ringing when I put them in
    • During rehearsal our sound can get pretty loud
    • I've been very happy with them -- the sound is quieter but fairly accurate (to my ears).
    • They fit as expected, the sounds feels clear
    • Pretty much, earplugs just suck sound wise
    • Reduce the overall volume, but not muddy sounding.
    • They don't distort the sound at all, just make the sound a little quieter.
    • I’m not able to tolerate loud sounds, so watching movies, or going to church and listening to the band is really a challenge
    • The earplugs doesn't drop the sound intensity equally across all frequencies so it is probably not best for musicians or other professions that need to hear accurate sound
    • Do note, they don't reject as much sound as traditional earplugs but they sound better
    • Great sound
    • Great sound, work really well to finish sound without distortion.
    • They block enough sounds that annoyance with wind noise is a thing of the past but let sound through clear enough that engines, horns, sirens, and other environmental sounds are still audible.
    • Rather than decreasing pain from harsh loud sounds, this product only produced a new type of pain
