If the Bluetooth is not that important to you then this is a good alternative to the Amazon Echo.
-
The sound is comparable to this Anker speaker: Anker SoundCore mini, Super-Portable Bluetooth Speaker with 15-Hour Playtime, 66-Foot Bluetooth Range, Enhanced Bass, Noise-Cancelling Microphone - Black which I also own (told you I was a fanboy)
-
It's more on the levels of a loud bluetooth portable speaker
-
No need to Bluetooth it to a more powerful speaker ( it’s not Bluetooth capable, but does include a 3.5 audio cord)
-
Not having bluetooth is a major drawback because I have many bluetooth only speakers that are now incompatible
-
I'd say it's akin to an inexpensive Bluetooth speaker
-
It does sound a bit better, but it looses bluetooth, alexa calling and pandora/ spotify support
-
First, the Genie doesn't have Bluetooth - no problem IF you don't need it
-
Eufy contacted me after the original review to try and buy me off with a cheap Bluetooth speaker
-
The Genie does not have bluetooth, so if you want to connect to the genie like a basic "dumb" bluetooth speaker you wont be able to
-
But: It doesn’t have as many microphones, doesn’t currently support Alexa messaging and calling (which, in my eyes, is a bonus, to be rectified in an upcoming firmware update, perhaps), doesn’t support Bluetooth (you can connect a Bluetooth speaker to the Dot, you’ll need to use the included audio cable to connect an external speaker to the Genie), and only supports 2.4GHz networks
-
Excelent WiFi/Bluetooth speaker that has Alexa integrated
-
What a trash - dumb speaker, no bluetooth - no use if not configured with Alexia - I tried and
-

The sound is a little better than the dot but not worth it because you lose the Bluetooth.
-
The other minor short coming is that it lacks Bluetooth,
-
It’s not as good as the Anker Bluetooth speaker I have, but it’s close.
-
Bluetooth - currently, the Eufy Genie doesn't support bluetooth connections, but this is remedied somewhat with the included auxilary cable.
-
Being that this device is so inexpensive, it doesn't have Bluetooth or 5 GHz WiFi like its Amazon cousins, but it does have workable 2.4 GHz WiFi with good connectivity and a 3.5 mm audio cable to connect it to other speakers
-
In recent months, I've toyed with a couple of cheap bluetooth speakers in my bathroom while getting ready for the day
-
no pairing it with a nice Bluetooth speaker
-
Further, they provided a free Bluetooth speaker as partial compensation for my troubles
-
I miss the bluetooth
