Eufy Genie Wi-Fi Smart Speaker with Amazon Alexa, Voice Control and Hands-Free Use, Stream Online Music (Amazon Music, Pandora, Sirius XM), Smart Home Control, AirPlay Compatible, AUX Output, Black

    • But the device sucks!!
    • The Genie is a great device for using Amazon Alexa with it
    • I'd ask it to play music, and then the Eufy or Dot would recognize that the other device was already playing music and would ask me if I wanted to switch devices and, even though I said "yes," it would not switch over, and both would continue playing musicAll in all, I think the Eufy is a great entry device IF you catch a sale where it is only $20 or $25, and IF you don't need bluetooth, the calling features, integration between multiple devices, and IF you don't mind telling it to restart your music after it has inexplicably stopped playing it, etc
    • so I'd rather spend the money and get a device that works 100% with the system instead of one that works 50%.If all you want is a cheap Alexa device to perform simple
    • The Eufy device works very well.
    • Really cool device, basically an echo dot, but a lot cheaper
    • n’t add it to groups like you can the genuine amazon devices, so this room can not be included in playing the same songs everywhere
    • I would recommend getting it if you want an Alexa device in your home to control your smart devices and Amazon account
    • Tell you the internet connection is unavailable when other devices are working fine on the same network
    • The Device itself gets pretty loud when you use it, but it also can plug into an external speaker to provide even bigger sound if you wanted to
    • No issues with Alexa, or my Alexa-enabled devices.
    • This device was hard of hearing from day one
    • If you catch it on sale like I did, it’s not a bad device.
    • The device is basically a microphone and a speaker and neither of them work well
    • Overall this is an excellent device, the one downside is that the microphone is REALLY sensitive
    • It's a cute little device that sits in a very compact manner, and it hides very well among decor, which is excellent
    • These were not a dealbreaker for me and for the price, I was willing to take the chance that this device would be good.
    • It still does not have all the bells and whistles of the original Amazon DOT speaker, however, the folks at Eufy are always improving the device and adding new features to make it on par with the original Amazon products and despite a few lacking features (Intercom, Hands-Free Calling and "drop in
    • I've used the Genie to interact with Alexa and several smart-home devices such as smart outlets, smart light bulbs, etc.
    • Nice little device that works well with Alexa
    • It's a comparable device to the Amazon Echo or any of the other knock-off devices.
    • Very nice device
    • poor connection with stuttering-has to be hard reset a minimum of once a day to get any functionWe currently have an echo dot as well as this device in the house
    • That was a little scary.)All in all, an excellent, if in its current state slightly limited device
    • If none of these issues is important to you, and if you want to get a very good Alexa device for $15 less than the list price of the Echo Dot, then go for it
    • This device is a good speaker, and works like an Ecco speaker would
    • This device works well with Alexa and is relatively easy to set-up
    • :The Eufy Genie is a great little device
    • For the price it would be a great device if it behaved properly and as expected, but for now, I'd have to say it falls a bit short and you'd be better off going with a refurb Dot or wait for a sale to get to the same price point.
    • As with any smart device that relies on one's voice, it may take a little time for the Eufy Genie to learn how someone sounds & the rate at which one speaks, but from there the growth is a beautiful thing
    • Build quality is excellent, well-made device and it feels solid
    • This device works when it wants to
    • I like this little device
    • Once i have the system connected i was able to have other smart device connected using the alexa app and it was all good to go
    • Since I don't have any smart devices
    • We have been amazed at how well this device works
    • Overall, I feel that this device can be better for me with a few software update which I feel that Eufy will deliver on.
    • I was testing this device few of the smart power plug, now with this device i can start getting more smart devices that is compatible with alexa around my house.
    • I do like the idea of a cheap Alexa enabled device and this does show promise when it works
    • It’s a great, low cost alternative to the more expensive Amazon branded devices
    • this is a good deal, but don't expect it to perform as well as the actual echo devices
    • The limitations of this device compared to an Amazon made Echo device is frustrating.
    • Great device
    • plus it'll work with any smart home device you have which is great
    • Being a middle aged fellow and one who values privacy, I actually like the device and service.
    • However, this device falls flat when it comes to reliability
    • With the price, this device is easy to buy multiple ones that you can set up through your house.
    • It really is a great device
    • Well as we add more smart devices to our homes, we have challenges, like interefrence, channel overlap, neighbor's wifi, all add up for a very bad wifi experience and poor performance
    • When reaching out to support, it was noted that you have to completely refresh the device, and remove the app, from your phone
    • I love my device again.
    • I really wanted to like this device, as I’m a fan of Eufy products
    • All in all, this is a great device that I would highly recommend any one to use.
    • Who at Anker/Eufy thought it was a good idea not to implement the same ability to change the wake word that real Echos have? Finally, these devices are extremely sensitive to background noise
    • For the price, it's good for controlling smart home devices, but I prefer the Dot
    • Up until now loved this little devices...purchased 3..kept
    • So... Would I recommend this device to anyone
    • They do work as Alexa devices, though, for as long as they work.
    • Great device, and even better customer service
    • A good Alexa device
    • I do plan to add some smart devices in my home to control lights, thermostat, etc
    • Unfortunately this device seems to have some serious limitations and, in my opinion, not even worth the $20 that I paid and the hours that I've spent attempting to link my accounts if it supported the functionality
    • 1:The device just keeps losing connection and I was not able to find a way in the eufy genie app to reset just the WiFi connection without having to deactivate the device and go through the entire setup process again
    • For the price, this is a great device
    • On it's own, it's a decent device, but not as good at hearing/understanding you as the Dot, and much slower response times.
    • It manages all of your smart Eufy devices (which you can voice control with the Eufy Genie...there are lightbulbs, robovacuums, etc.).The device itself has the same size base as an Echo Dot, but stands a bit taller than the Echo Dot
    • I purchased this device to complement my other devices, and add Alexa capability to my garage
    • Airplay 2 would make this a significantly better device.
    • It might be a good basic device if you have an elderly family member who just needs to set a few reminders too
    • I haven't got any smart devices to have it control, but as is, I can imagine that this would be perfect for a college dorm room, kitchen, an elderly relative, or something like that.
    • It's very hard to see the downside to buying this device if you're unsure about which platform will prevail in the long-term (which may only be a couple of years) or if you just want to dip your toes into the waters of Voice Assistant World.
    • The device worked for about 5 hours maybe
    • In the end, if you understand the limitation of the device, and understand what your needs are , this is a great and affordable device to get and it will suit the needs perfectly.
    • But until then, if you can live with the omissions, this is a fine device with a great sounding speaker for it's size, an identical layout as the Dot for ease of use and setup and IMHO better looks
    • This device works as well as the Echo.
    • This device is awesome!
    • What I need is another Alexa device that will allow me to voice control my smart home device, and listen to occasional music.
    • I'm still undecided whether or not I am a fan of the "skills" that can be performed or If other devices through Google or Apple are better.
    • That was a little scary.)All in all, an excellent, if in its current state slightly limited device
    • Though, even if you don't have any smart home devices, for $35 this device is one of the cheapest ways to find your cell phone I could find
    • This device does not fully support Spotify and feel that advertising that is false
    • It was worth the money to have a hands-free device in the kitchen for music, listening to podcasts, and timer
    • Unfortunately, I don't have other smart devices like smart lighting or home security it can control but knowing that the Genie can control many smart devices, I will likely start to install smart devices in my home
    • About once a day, the device loses internet connection and WILL NOT reconnect itself without pressing the reset button and going through the setup process again
    • This is a great little device in place of the dot
    • Cannot control all Alexa-compatible smart devices like TP-Link Wi-Fi Smart
    • The Eufy Genie is another very nice, inexpensive, high quality device from Anker/Eufy, and highly recommended!
    • I've owned the Eufy Genie for over a month (since before it's public release) and it's been a great little device.
    • Best device
    • I can only assume that I received a bad device, but I am extremely disappointed, and have an extremely upset child that wanted nothing more than to play with Alexa this evening.....
    • Perfect Alexa powered device to use in dusty, moist or harsh environments where you do not wish to risk a more expensive ECHO.
    • I could add more smart devices to make better use of it
    • Update:I sent for a replacement and it worked great.....until the latest firmware was pushed and it now has the same issue as the first device.
    • I still can't recommend this device when you can pick up an echo Dot warehouse deal for about $25
    • Echo device works way better
    • Where do I start? It's a knockoff, bootleg, "decent" device.
    • My problem is that Alexa isn't that useful without home automation smart devices
    • The Eufy Genie, a hands free, voice controlled device with a 2w speaker, ( which puts out an impressive amount of sound for the size ) definitely makes my life easier by controlling lights throughout my apartment, initiating my RoboVac to clean, playing my music, helping me arrange an Uber, providing news and information, in addition to a plethora of other "skills"
    • Thing is, so do my other home wireless smart devices such as my thermostat, plugs, etc (why I wanted to get Eufy to voice command them) and I had no issues with them connecting to my guest network (even tried the home network and still no luck).I did finally get a live person yesterday and they are indeed friendly and appreciate that he didn't make me waste my time going through all the steps that have been done and redone several times and we did try a couple
    • Being that this device is so inexpensive, it doesn't have Bluetooth or 5 GHz WiFi like its Amazon cousins, but it does have workable 2.4 GHz WiFi with good connectivity and a 3.5 mm audio cable to connect it to other speakers
    • For a smart device this one is just stupid
    • Sorry, that device is offline"Yea
    • I thought that it would be a great idea to have a better sounding device in my office as I work from home.
    • It works as well as the genuine Amazon devices I have, at a lower cost.
    • Now, this wouldn't be an big issue except I could not change the wake name of this like I can with the Amazon's devices
    • There is little or no delay in getting responses or controlling my smart home devices.
    • Gave this a shot because I wanted it to work as a device for the kitchen
    • I've been thinking of getting a smart device and saw this Eufy Genie pop up
    • I’m still pretty happy with mine, for one reason: it is an airplay audio receiver, as well as an alexa device.
    • Overall, it is a really great device
    • The Eufy Genie is an excellent Alexa enabled device, and is a great accessory for your connected home
    • I like this as a spare Alexa device for travel
    • Update - after using this for a few months I will not be buying anymore or recommend this to anyone as it's not a reliable device
    • Every other device worked
    • Both devices worked upon delivery, and were easy to set up
    • If you use a lot of Eufy smart devices or are interested in using them, then this will also enable you to maximize the benefits of using those
    • Overall a really good device, if it works
    • This is really an Excellent entry device to the Alexa Echo System, and I can highly recommend it if you want to save a few bucks vs buying an echo Dot
    • So when I look to add another Alexa capable device, I started look outside the Amazon devices
    • Hope the device keeps working normal.
    • The volume, while not booming (this is a small device after all!), is loud and clear.
    • Pay the extra for a genuine device!
    • I am really happy with the Spotify integration and the genie being the first smart home device I have used, I am impressed with what it can do at the given price point ($20 pre Black Friday sale)
    • So for us this is a terrific device
    • this device is missing all those features, and slightly slower to respond as
    • For the price, I'd say this device is pretty good
    • With the powerful speaker and mics, I realized I could cover an entire floor with one of these... which I did!.I've noticed some deficiencies when compared to the Amazon Dot, which I've articulated to Anker, and they have indicated with soon to be released firmware upgrades, this device will be ready for the masses
    • I hope when airplay 2 comes out, this device supports that as well.
    • Also, this device doesn't support the multi room audio (yet?)
    • This device sounds great with music and was easy to set up with out wifi system, We have the Echo too
    • I much prefer them to normal dots because they work as airplay devices
    • I would imagine the average person is purchasing this more as an Alexa device rather than purely as a music speaker and for that it does almost as good a job as any alexa device I've tried.
    • I stated, these deficiencies will be addressed shortly, and when they are, this will be the preferred device for myself (and most other consumers) considering what you get for the price.
    • I am personally a power user and all about finding productive solutions, so for me this is a great device to use to get an overview of my day, updates, and even just to have a little bit of fun during a break
