We have a Dot in another room and so far this works just as well.

I notice that the Genie doesn’t listen as well as the Echo Dot and the Genie’s responses are very slow in comparison

And, while I still think the Dot is more responsive initially (and therefore more useful as an "assistant"), these Genies function great as a nice "smart" speaker

The good news is that the Eufy Genie works just as well as the Echo Dot, for the most part

The Dot also has this problem.- music would inexplicably turn off about ten or fifteen minutes into listening (via the Amazon Music that is the default for Alexa)

Overall, the Eufy Genie is a fine piece of technology considering the price although I would prefer the Echo dot over Eufy Genie any day because of calling, bluetooth, and microphone

It can't for instance do messages or phone calls like the Dot can, and it also doesn't have the new multi room capability the Dot just got as well

A little frustrating at first trying to get the EufyHome to connect to my WiFi, but after a few try’s, it connected and works just as well as our Dot

I have no complaints, it may not be as responsive as the echo dot, but it definitely serves as a great economical option with a better speaker than the echo dot version.
