The Genie works just like the Echo; I mean, exactly like the Echo, it's just smaller.

The Genie works well, is easy to use conversationally, has a great mic and speaker, and has been 100% reliable for many weeks

I purchased the Genie a few weeks ago and was not immediately impressed with the unit

You have to download the Eufy Home app in order to activate the speaker, and once you've done that, you can download the Amazon Alexa app and use it to get the Genie to learn Alexa skills and do most of the things the Amazon devices do

Setup was relatively easy and the Genie is very sensitive to voice commands

However, I really enjoy the Genie, as it has a great speaker, which plays music and podcasts from my phone loudly and clearly

I just set up my Eufy Genie Smart Speaker

but they still offered to replace the Genie or refund what I paid

I just call out Alexa and the Genie immediately is ready for whatever question is asked

First, the Genie doesn't have Bluetooth - no problem IF you don't need it

be honest that I did have a problem adding the Genie to my home network, but it was able to join my “Guest” SSID quite easily.

Genie is like a inexpensive Amzson Dot

I revised this review because after trying to connect and failing, I noticed my internet was 5Ghz and the genie works with 2.4Ghz, so I bought a dual band router and the genie worked excellent

The microphone pick up is on the poor side, especially when compared to an Echo Dot, where the Genie is not as responsive.

The genie remained dark, but the dot upstairs, on the other end of the house heard me and started giving the forecast!If this hadn’t been free, I would absolutely return it

The Genie was fairly easy to set up and it does basic voice commands but everything else you have to go to other apps to do anything.
