I don't have an accent and I'm a few feet away, and yet I have a hard time getting it to hear me

The first unit had a hard time even been seen (1 out 30 times) and could never get it to connect

It had been about 3 minutes at an odd time (something like 41 minutes past the hour).

The Genie has a harder time "hearing" your questions, but I think that is due to less microphones

It has a hard time picking up the wake word, and when it does start listening, it will misunderstand me most of the times

Spotify: the genie has a hard time shuffling spotify or finding music vs. other echo products I own

The unit is only equipped with 2 microphones and it has trouble understanding me half the time, there isn't any Bluetooth, it only works on 2.4 GHz WiFi networks, you can't make any calls with it, and all your streaming services have to be added to a separate app

You might think it didn't hear you, and repeat yourself a couple times before you realize it's just slow to respond

And It seems that Alexa has a hard time pulling answers to your questions, but I know the team behind the speaker is working hard on rolling out updates to the device to make it comparable to the Echo line

Its all about the application, with no bluetooth and slightly slower respond time, It won't replace any of my dots

The mic it self seems to have a hard time picking up my voice even at short distances I felt like I had to yell for it to respond

Now I can turn off lights, play music, get weather updates, check time, set alarm, all using voice command (Alexa)!!

Difficult time connecting speaker to app.

It was not that useful, because it seems to have a harder time understanding my commands than the Echo Dot

There are some weird timing issues when asking for a translation of something - the translation starts to play before Alexa stops speaking.

It failed every time I tried

On it's own, it's a decent device, but not as good at hearing/understanding you as the Dot, and much slower response times.

Lost connection twice already and had to fire up the EufyHome app again, which crashed a few times on my phone

Thing is, so do my other home wireless smart devices such as my thermostat, plugs, etc (why I wanted to get Eufy to voice command them) and I had no issues with them connecting to my guest network (even tried the home network and still no luck).I did finally get a live person yesterday and they are indeed friendly and appreciate that he didn't make me waste my time going through all the steps that have been done and redone several times and we did try a couple
