I love this thing, it makes tuning/replacing drum heads 100% less stressful

I have been blessed with great heads because I have been able to set the dial and torque my heads in tune without much tweaking

BUT - IF your rods are lubricated properly and the rods and tension sleeves are clean, you'll be surprised how close you can come with this key, and how fast head changing and tuning can be

The best thing about this tool is that you set the number you want, and can tune both heads to this number, then fine tune afterwards if you would like to.

I used Remo BA coated heads on top and BE clear heads on bottom (planning to switch bottom heads to BA coated as well).For the price, I definitely think this is worth the money, assuming it continues to work for me long term, which I expect it will.

As we all know, the head-to-bearing edge tension really dictates the tone of the drum NOT the lug tension

I recently bought my son a nice new PDP drum kit and I wanted to make sure he had a good head tuner

It works as it's supposed to, and works pretty well
