The lead holders I've used have been the clutch variety, like the Staedtler Mars 780 or 788, Uni Lead Holder Pencil MH500, Sanford Turquoise 2022, Faber-Castell TK 9400.

good pencil and lead as it should be, sharpener in end of pen is a pain unless you have two pen.
