I had already however found a much suitable replacement.

The first product I received had a flaky connection, but FastSnail offered a free replacement and it's working great!

This Adapter is a fine replacement for that

After posting this review, customer support contacted me and sent a replacement product free of charge

The replacement works again and I will not be making the mistake of plugging in the official switch power supply

The replacement worked without an issue

I recommend anyone who owns a switch to buy one asap it is awesome l

This Type C to HDMI adapter worked as advertised and was delivered promptly

Works great with my Switch, plugging into the USB-C port on the device with my Nintendo USB-C cable works fine with passing charging through to my switch

Got it yesterday, looks identical to my Apple USB-C adapter (which unfortunately doesn't support the switch)

So this is a great little usb-c to hdmi dock, just not for the switch

I even purchased and used the matching FastSnail AC [ Product: FastSnail AC Adapter for Nintendo Switch, Support TV Mode (5 FT/1.5M) ], and still didn't it to work smoothly
