I had started off last year using Gorilla Tape and it had done a great job

But it is indeed strong, and at least for now, it's doing a fine job of, for instance, repairing a fiberglass shovel handle which had had big cracks and

and it did a great job of adhering to it, though I had been careful to clean the surface first so that residual dirt did not keep it from sticking well
