My suspicion is that it's because the sensor is having trouble keeping a lock on the heart rate which is evidenced by the fact that it is constantly locking the watch, requiring me to put in my PIN to use any of the other features, because it thinks I've taken the watch off, despite it being securely attached with a much nicer leather band

There are several stretching bands available on here that fit great in my almost 10" wrist.

It works as intended, definitely worth it if it's sale
