With this desk I put my monitor and speakers on the top shelf

The top shelf for supporting the monitor is just wide enough and strong enough to hold my 27" iMac

It holds my 24" monitor on the top shelf with plenty of room to spare, my laptop and editing tablet on the main desk option and other random items on the bottom self

Shelf at shin level would be best to just not bother installing for typical sized adult humans if you actually use it

I'm actually surprised at how sturdy it is as I have a dual monitor desk mount with two 27" monitors on the top shelf and no issues with it

Good size but had trouble putting too shelf

Am using the top shelf to hold my HP22 inch monitor and two small computer speakers a external DVD player and a external 500 GB hard drive

I will note that I didn't install the weird lower shelf thing and it doesn't seem to have suffered in terms of stability

One of the legs on the top shelf the plastic threading just fell out when I screwed the leg in, so it's essentially held on by just three legs

Easy to assemble, but the bottom panel isn't big enough, my USFF desktop still has to be turned sideways to sit on bottom shelf, and top shelf causes Monitor to sit too high, all that said I like it for a small computer desk.

I would have preferred a pull out keyboard than the useless shelf on the bottom, but that's just me.

The shelf on the bottom is great for books and my internet

The middle shelf did have some damage On top where the black paint was peeling off but for $40 its pretty nice

Cons:-One of the riser pieces (see pic) for top shelf was a little bent to it didn't screw in as well but its not noticeable.- the main shelf does not go under the top shelf so there is an opening of dead space.- top shelf rises up only about 3 1/4"

I use the top shelf for a small TV monitor and the bottom shelf can accommodate small miscellaneous items.

I'm happy to report nothing major, just a piece that connects the top shelf to the unit appeared lopsided when I screwed it in, but I was able to adjust it

I think they packed the wrong bottom shelf

Also I love the shelf underneath.

He loves the top shelf where he can put items on and they don't get in his way.

I'd give it a 5 but the bottom shelf is awkward and gets in the way

The top-most shelf is a good size for a 24" monitor flanked by small speakers, but the main shelf is very small.

The only reason for a rating of 4 is because it was for the most part easy to assemble; however, screwing the bottom shelf was somewhat difficult

That shelf is evil, and anyone who cares about their shins should consider leaving it off.

Otherwise, the shelf is strong enough to support most any display up to 32".-Mighty nice purchase at the price I paid...now at $70.00, I'm not all that certain I would give it two looks over some of the other offerings in that price range.

The lower shelf is not very useful due to its small size, and it's easy to bang your shins on it when you scoot your desk chair forward

The only downside, which is really minor and has been remedied, is the bottom shelf

Unfortunately I bought this with intention of having my laptop on the main shelf and tv on top shelf to do live streaming but it is not high enough so I will likely have to mount tv or get a side table

I noticed one reviewer was concerned about this, but if you look at it, the metal grills on the legs are at the same height as where the shelf would be, so the shelf doesn't add any structural stability

I like the desk because it fits my room perfectly, matches my other cheap furniture, the top shelf perfectly accomodates my 27' monitor, and despite its small size I keep realizing I can fit even more stuff on the desk than I had thought

I have a 27 inch monitor which worries me because it's a little shaky on the top shelf, but so far so good

I have a printer sitting on the top shelf

The very bottom shelf has a 2 inch hang over that looks out of place

The ledge/shelf isn't my favorite, but good desk for the price.

There is marks on it that won't come off and the poles on the top shelf are crooked

Only complaint is the small shelf underneath the desk

The top shelf is good for a candle and small lamp too

My daughter's monitor perches easily on the top shelf, and her mouse and keyboard have plenty of room on the main desk portion.

Bottom shelf holds my small tower just fine and the very top shelf holds my 30in led perfectly
