I loved the look and price of the fluance, so I am bummed about it not working out.

, I also added two sets of the Amazon basics RCA cables (gold plated) - and set my TT to bypass it's internal pre-amp (set switch from Line to Phono), and I added a reasonably priced phono pre-stage preamp from Behringer for about $40.

This turntable was the perfect fit, and the only trustworthy listing I could find within my preferred price range that I could truly consider to be an upgrade from what I already had

The truth of it is you are getting one of the best built and sounding turntables on the market at an unbelievable price.

The RT81 is the third record player I've tried out in my attempts to re-boot my record collecting interests, in the price point that works for me, and it's the winner

A note that the phono preamplifier turns on when you select the speed - platter rotation is activated when you move the arm off the rest just as most turntables were "back in the day".Overall I am very pleased, glad I backed this project, and it's good to see a quality turntable that is a real audiophile product and not a DJ wannabee at a very good price

That's pretty much the only bad thing I can say - great entry level turntable for a great price.

Definitely worth its price and probably more!

I called to ask a few questions, and they even gave me a discount code to use, which knocked the price down a bit
