The "races" are either boring beyond compare, or are set up simply to frustrate the user by purposely putting civilian cars in the way at the most inopportune times or by having AI competitors get in front of you and purposely slow you down (this last aspect has always been a frustrating feature of the Forza line)

You don't have to worry about throttle control to prevent oversteer as much (unless you're in a high-powered vehicle), and you don't have to take every corner perfectly in order to win the race.

I've played Forza 2-4 as well as other racing games and for my taste this has everything I'm looking for (open-driving, track racing, rally, licensed cars & the perfect ratio of realistic physics vs. arcade-style forgiveness)

Personally, I love the racing and do not care too much to spend my time setting up and tweaking each car for every single race.

Xbox developers are going to have to come up quite a bit to match the GT5 series, and it is sad that the Xbox players cannot enjoy a real racing game, with real physics, and realistic true world racing.
