I think it improves comfort, but again, I don't think you have to do this

amazing sound and comfort, but you will defo need an amp to power these beauties ...

I enjoyed the sound quality although I may change the pads for a better comfort.

As far as comfort, these aren't quite as nice as the DT770's velour pads, but they are lightweight and can be worn for hours without issue.

Changed the pads to the fa003ti pads, greater comfort, slightly wider soundstage perhaps

However, the comfort (while not too bad) needed improvement for me to really love the headphone.

The HD600 you can listen to for hours and have unbeatable comfort and midrange, but lack any real wow factor (remember they are non-fatiguing in any way)

However, in praise of the T50RP, the build quality is superb and the comfort is exceptional, which I can't necessarily lend to Fostex, since I replaced the stock pads with Alpha Dogs

Well, all I can say is I'm in no big rush to change the stock earcups yet because I'm enjoying the sound and comfort of these headphones as they are!!

I understand that purchasing headphones that need modding is beyond the pale for many people, but I enjoyed the hands on nature of tailoring the sound and comfort to my liking
