FUGOO Tough - Portable, Waterproof, Rugged Bluetooth Wireless Go Anywhere Speaker

    • But the bass is awesome.
    • , it sounds awful the volume is barely louder than my ayfee cheapo bluetooth speaker and sounds half as good, the bass is weak and the speaker distorts badly
    • You don't expect the best bass response in a speaker this size, and it does go to 60hz per specs.
    • Great bass and full sound
    • Bass is natural, not over-emphasized or boosted, which I like at this point in my life
    • I played a pretty good bass song at high volume after the update to increase loudness and just couldn't handle the bass.
    • Both are complemented by 2 passive radiators that are designed to enhance bass
    • I haven’t heard a waterproof Bluetooth speaker this size that HAS good bass, though the bose minilink Bluetooth speaker is definitely more capable in the bass
    • But the bass is nice, and it has good clarity
    • Very bright sounding speakers with clear highs and a slightly mushy bass
    • I bought myself the Creative Sound Blaster Roar which has much better bass
    • My UE Boom technically lacked some low-frequency bass, but the lower mids and highs were plenty strong, smooth and full
    • Awesome sound, great bass response, dead easy to set ap and use
    • Awesome sound, great bass response, dead easy to set ap and use
    • The bass is fine for its' size but the midrange to highs are over boasted and hurt my ears, very tinny
    • handy...moreover best for outdoor places with a proper bass, loud
    • Nice flat response from the low to high frequencies - no fake boosted bass or overly bright highs
    • Bass and volume highs were much better.
    • yes it does not bump enough bass to tickle your nose
    • the bass was horrible
    • very good sound - deep bass and pretty loud too
    • Some may wish for a tad more thump of bass, but I'll take the contained bass over having bass dominate everything like with the Bose
    • I wanted something that offered some decent bass, as most of these types of speakers suck on bass
    • , I used it when I was doing some workouts and enjoyed the volume, sound quality, and the strong bass.
    • The bass is decent.
    • The bass isn't very good on it either, and it doesn't get very loud at all
    • Bass sucks
    • Not as loud as the similar bose speaker, bass is not clear either
    • Sounded clear, looked cool and worked well, but zero bass.
    • The Infinity speakers are louder but only because the system also has a small subwoofer to boost bass
    • I really, really wanted to choose the Style, but in the end, the lack of USABLE bass made my decision
    • The sound quality of the oontz was excellent however it lacked the bass that the fugoo and anker have
    • I'll be the first person to tell you I like a good bass rumbling in my ears (especially during workouts) and I have come to appreciate the great sound and balance this speaker brings
    • Bass overall is pretty weak as well
    • some decent bass!My daughter has the EU boom speaker and it’s
    • sound isn't loud and no bass... returned
    • NO BASS TONES NOT LOUD ENOUGH
    • Even at full volume, the speaker never feels overdriven, doesn't snap/crackle and the bass doesn't fizzle and distort
    • It makes some nice deep bass that does not overwhelm the mids and highs
    • First class clarity and decent bass with very good battery life
    • Bass isn't overwhelming and its tough
    • The bass is not outstanding but it serves my purpose as a vehicle for listening to music while I work outside in my garden
    • Great bass and overall sound dispersion
    • Great sound with decent bass
    • It does not have the constant 'thump thump' bass of the Bose, but rather has a deep, precise bass where there should be bass - call it punchy
    • At max volume the bass is a bit distorted, but it is plenty loud even in a house full of people.
    • The sound is clear; the bass is strong, but not rattling, the highs are not tinny.
    • , good bass for a unit in this price bracket I would buy again
    • It had to have great sound with good bass (no portable speaker will give great bass)
    • I love bass, and this little one brings it out pretty good.
    • The bass is decent, the audio clarity is great, and the mid and high are both alive
    • My findings were that the lack of a speakerphone would be a dealbreaker for me, so the Bose was out, even though it offered very rich (and sometimes overwhelming, boomy) bass
    • The Fugoo performs a much more difficult acoustic feat: providing great bass without making it sound boomy and fake
    • I read all about how the bass was incredible but the bass is almost the worst part about it.
    • Great sound, especially the bass for such a small speaker.
    • The bass will make my desk/shelf vibrate (albeit minor) when I turn the volume all the way up, but the highs and mids are really where this speaker shines
    • handy...moreover best for outdoor places with a proper bass, loud
    • The bass is fine for its' size but the midrange to highs are over boasted and hurt my ears, very tinny
    • Great bass extension for its size and clarity of mids and highs.
    • It sounds very clear and very balanced, with good bass too
    • Awesome speaker, amazing bass and great battery life
    • It's very rich and balanced, with good bass.
    • So much bass for a little speaker, never sounds cheap, doesn't distort with high volume or bass heavy songs
    • Long battery lifeThe Fugoo has a good sound and decent bass
    • Very bright sounding speakers with clear highs and a slightly mushy bass
    • Very clear sound and substantial bass
    • It does not get very loud and the bass is muddy.
    • My biggest problem was the bass
    • The Bose has better bass and the UE Boom is more transparent and neutral
    • Good bass very important to me
    • It's very loud and clear, with good bass, and sounds like it should be great for the pool and beach, and it wasn't much more than the Fugoo even.
    • And if all that wasn't enough you get a great sound experience from the speaker, great lows and mids, nice treble, and for its size substantially good bass
    • the BOOM had too much artificial bass in my opinion but it was loud and still sounded really good for the price
    • Bass and treble are very good.
    • Great sound, excellent bass, very good
    • the only drawbacks for me are it has weak bass tone and so-so max volume.
    • Don't expect a super loud bass heavy boom
    • PROS: great sound, design and featuresCONS: could do with a tiny bit more bass :
    • Bass overall is pretty weak as well
    • The bass is noticibly better than the fugoo but the highs and mids are not near as accurate in my opinion.
    • Not the loudest speaker in the world but the bass is excellent for the size and the 360 degree speakers are a great feature.
    • The music is crystal clear and it has enough bass to shake my outdoor picnic table
    • The speaker has good bass and feels like advertised rugged but the volume is lacking
    • Great sound but not enough bass
    • The bass is amazing for such a small box.
    • I have a JBL charge to compare and it has a better or shall i say louder bass than fugoo
    • Decent bass, excellent Bluetooth connectivity.
    • the depth of sound was good and the bass response reasonable for such a small device
    • , it sounds awful the volume is barely louder than my ayfee cheapo bluetooth speaker and sounds half as good, the bass is weak and the speaker distorts badly
    • As far as the sound goes it's really good, nice bass, pretty good midrange and adequate high-end
    • Yes, the lower frequencies are truly amazing for a speaker of this size (my ears tell me that it is reaching to about 57 - 60hz) but the bass has bled into the midrange frequencies, giving the speaker an overly warm sound and affecting vocals of both male and female singers
    • The sound quality is excellent, with good bass response
    • It has pristine highs and the two subs on each side put out great bass and the unit is virtually indistructable!!
    • It has really good dynamic range and a nice full bass sound that isn't overpowering.
    • He really enjoys it .. says it is loud, solid bass, no distortion.
    • If size and battery life isn't a major concern for you, I highly recommend the Roar for its superior sound quality and bass at a most affordable price
    • It has a better bass response than many Bluetooth speakers and clear mids and highs
    • The UE Boom seems to lack mids, and completely lack bass on some more bass-heavy songs.
    • 40 hour battery, waterproof, 4 drivers w/ 2 passive bass radiators, all digital amplifier signal processing, mud-proof, sand-proof, shock-proof, accepts firmware updates, Siri control, speakerphone, and wide audio quality range of sound.
    • The fugoo lacks deep bass although it has a couple small woofers
    • Great mid and treble are the key feature while the bass is decent; don’t get this if your looking for wall pounding bass, that’s not what you buy this for
    • It has good bass
    • After reading others reviews about this speaker, I thought it would be a really good quality speaker with crisp highs, good mids, and deep bass along with a stylish kinda modern design
    • Went to best buy to compare against other models, Fugoo did much better than everything in its price range, problem was the volume wasn’t loud enough and at highest volume, the bass got distorted.
    • This speaker has awesome bass and excellent sound that makes me think of a Bose system
    • The audio quality was excellent and it had a great bass
    • Nice sturdy speaker, good sound, bass is very good, good battery life
    • FugooIt took the speaker about 1 hour of play to loosen up and once it did, what I heard was good bass (about 80% of the bass that the Bose makes you think it is producing) with a very clear midrange (totally unadulterated by the lower frequencies) and the overall sound signature is just slightly on the bright side (but not so bad that it makes your ears bleed)
    • The bass is noticeably rich and full, the volume goes way way up
    • It would be added bonus if there will be firmware to add more sound options supporting good bass.
    • Problem for me is no bass, then the overall sound
    • Just remember this is a true engineered speaker not a boom box ,if you are looking for extra loud booming bass with muddled midrange , look elsewhere.
    • The bass is not great but good.
    • Bass is perfect

    • Bass is very good and responsive for a unit of this size.
    • I had read glowing reviews about this speaker, but dismissed it initially after a brief instore demo where I felt the speaker sounded very clear, but completely lacked bass
    • Good bass considering size
    • There is a big bass hump between 60 to 90Hz so R&B, dance and similar music sound good but not natural on it
    • Ive recommended it to many of my friends as, having owned other small speakers in the past that we at best a bit functional, this speaker with its voice instructions,is truly very special
    • While the bass and overall sound quality is slightly better with the Bose, the battery drains as you let it sit!
    • One would expect a speaker, that is designed as well as it is claimed to be, to last longer than 1.5 years
    • Rugged design and water proof no negative as of now
    • On occasion I would have to blow the water out of it, because it wasn't as loud and crisp as it had been after getting wet.
    • I was sent a Tough S with only a 15 hour battery life when the description reads a 40 hour battery life
