The second set made me doubt their quality control, the wood was rough in places and bad spots (there were plenty) werefilled with wood putty that didn't match in color
-
This is a beautiful little genuine wood shelf
-
The wood split
-
Of course, the quality is inferior: wood is too soft, can break as you put screws in in the pre-drilled holes, but the structure does hold up, so you get what you pay for.
-
At one point, I used a larger screw than I probably should have and the wood started to crack, but I was able to switch parts without sustaining and significant damage to the bookcase
-
given how the wood as cracked or screws were unable to gain purchase
-
So if your looking for a cheap all wood shelf this is worth the price.
-
While building it, be careful as the wood is a bit flimsy and leads to a bit of wood shavings that gets everywhere
-
The screws are too long and crack the wood
-
I like its unfinished, light wood.
-
The wood is very cheap!
-
The wood is smooth and free of splinters or snags
-
I like its unfinished, light wood.

-
The wood is beautiful--it looks just
-
I am just happy to have a solid wood piece instead of frankenwood.

-
cheap; very slim and cheap wood
-
I tried screwing in 4 more screws and all but one of them completely split the wood
-
Very cheap made overall, but I like the solid wood feeling.
-
Flimsy wood
-
and then when I finally got it (mostly) in, the wood cracked a bit
-
The first set was okay, the wood was decent
-
Screws included were too big and split the wood.
-
When I tried to put it together, the wood cracked all the way through when I went to screw the screw.
-
Wood terrible, painting terrible
-
Immediately after trying to assemble it, the wood instantly broke into pieces
-
but I wish it was better wood
-
The wood split several times and slats that were stapled in came off
-
The second problem I ran into was that the screws were too long and would break through the other side and then crack the wood
