The velcro on these units works very well; not sure why other users have difficulty

The only thing I don't like is the velcro between the gps holder and the tether.

The velcro held well as long as I seated it properly.

The velcro that holds the inReach clip to the shoulder mounted piece isn't the strongest, but it's plenty sufficient to keep it where it belongs.

The velcro held it very securely even when scrambling up the Barranco Wall, and during the quick, jarring descent

Then again, any Velcro would be too loud in those circumstances.

Velcro is so strong that after a while it over powers the adhesive backing and starts pulling off the clip

Once the Garmin is clipped in and attached to the tether itself, it fastens to the main part on the pack strap with a good size velcro patch.

I would have preferred quick-release buckles but only time will tell if the velcro goes bad.

Good quality, Velcro is strong.

I am just not yet sure how durable the velcro that holds the GPS to the strap is going to be.

The velcro is incredibly "sticky" and tends to grab and frey the tether.
