The Garmin provided accurate routing information; would have been a VERY difficult, and stressful, trip without it.

I heard other complaints on some of the chips for Garmin europe and I was confused on the differences, but as a heavy user of a Garmin for work I can say that these maps worked just as well as in the US

While in Europe I used the GPS with this chip in Italy, France and Sicily and it worked just the same as if I were at home

A very patient Garmin Tech Support person talked me through the process of downloading and installing a Nuvi firmware update (which also required downloading and updating a Microsoft program in order to proceed), and now everything works as it should.

In summary, I found the Garmin to work exactly as it had in the US.

The maps were as good as, and sometimes better than, Google
