Never updated still have directions on non existing roads, wrong roads numbers, wrong turns conducing to terrible neighborhoods
-
Amazing when you are driving for over 13 hours on unfamiliar roads the first time in any foreign country
-
We were continually wondering whether we were on the correct road, which we usually were, but the numbers were wrong.
-
It also miscounted several roundabout exits and had us going off on the wrong road, causing a lot of backtracking.
-
Both units tell you to take city streets that are pedestrian only or take you down one lane, two-way, sometimes scenic farm roads or harrowing mountain roads theoretically to save a split-second or more on your travel time when you might prefer a highway or 2-lane street.
-
The alternative routing helps get around closed, blocked, or otherwise objectionable roads or traffic
-
Eventually we followed the next 3 roundabouts' directions toward a city near Cesky Krumlov and ended up on a slower more minor road, but still got where we were going after the GPS recalculated once it realized what we were doing
-
Rather than being faster, these roads were slower since we were driving on poorly maintained dirt roads
-
Was excellent at directing us though crazy roads and routes in cities for the most part- especially all the roundabouts..
-
More than happy, certainly takes the stress away when traveling on unknown roads.

I heard other complaints on some of the chips for Garmin europe and I was confused on the differences, but as a heavy user of a Garmin for work I can say that these maps worked just as well as in the US
-
Great seller thank you A×+++++
-
While in Europe I used the GPS with this chip in Italy, France and Sicily and it worked just the same as if I were at home
-
A very patient Garmin Tech Support person talked me through the process of downloading and installing a Nuvi firmware update (which also required downloading and updating a Microsoft program in order to proceed), and now everything works as it should.
-
In summary, I found the Garmin to work exactly as it had in the US.
-
The maps were as good as, and sometimes better than, Google
