The contours can be enhanced by selecting "most" or "more" detail and "show if available" under shaded relief in the Advanced Map Setup

US map is like 560GB, only the south east part is too big for the built-in memory plus the expandable sd memory card.

The map is so hard for a beginner to figure out.

After trying this one I saw that it had the simplicity I was looking for and clear usage maps and the ability to quickly set a track mode to show where I had been and set way points easily
