Even with this, I would still recommend this unit if someone was considering it.

For a small package, this unit packs a punch.

This unit did not disappoint sooooooo much more user friendly than my old unit

I am replacing a stolen unit so I still had the power cord from previous unit which has the traffic receiver

I checked with customer service and they agreed that the unit was bad.

This unit has many good features and worked well

Basically using the unit is frustrating. and irritating

Clearly, this GPS stand-alone unit would be preferred to using a phone app, because it's fully dedicated to mapping so the phone can be used for other reasons, but I was trying to minimize the number of items I had to pack on my trip.

That doesn't help when you need this unit to work well in an area you don't know !

but otherwise this is a great unit.

Unit works like clockwork

The refurb unit didn't have any noticeable issues and has been working fine for 6 months now.

But yesterday as we neared our first stop of a four day trip for several speaking engagements, the unit inextricably shut of and refuses to turn back on

I've been using it for about a week now and the 2598 is an excellent unit

Only reason not a five unit tend to freeze up and needs to be shut off to reset....

unfortunately the unit I got here was broken and returned.

This unit makes my day easier.

Absolutely CAN NOT RECOMMEND this unit.
