I won't be using Garmin Speak for directions in the city (where I live) any more, it's now just a portable Alexa, because the directions it gives are worse than useless in a densely packed city

Though I haven't really needed to use them yet, the directions appear to work quite well too.

works great in 2013 Tahoe... directions lead you right to the spot

The only downside - which kind of surprised me - is that I'm not sure I like the directions I get from Garmin as much as the ones I get from Google

For example, "Alexa, get me directions home," worked last night

I verified with my phones GPS and Maps that it thinks that I am in the correct location and gives proper directions

ETC.Driving directions are good and thus far accurate, what you would expect from Garmin

It often struggles with recalculating when I ignore poor directions

so I can listen to thousands of songs, Garmin gps is spot on, much better directions than google so far

I quickly switched to Google Maps on my phone for correct directions

If they tweak it in the right direction

The directions are also very precise

Driving back to my house about 25 miles away, I have no idea where it wanted me to go as it insisted I was going in the wrong direction.

The directions are clear, and update quickly if i miss a turn.

Being able to ask for weather, news & traffic all without even glancing away from the road is wonderful and the directions are great

but when you're driving and she doesn't listen and continues to give you bad directions or refuses to understand a command it is potentially life threatening and this device is terrible
