I didn't give a five star rating because just recently I've been having some issues with syncing the device with the app which sometimes can be a little annoying, I'm not sure if this is cause by the new Garmin software update

Terrible device honestly, I really want to like it though its a rugged device

At midnight the step count resets to zero and the device is ready to track the next day's activities

Easy to use, can wear it in the water swimming or bathing, can be used as a watch, and sync well with my smart phone device.

I have enough devices to recharge already, so I appreciate that the Vivofit 2 battery will last a year.

I will start by saying I love this device

Then at 60 days I started having problems syncing the device

The device initially worked well

I don't need to know every step I do during the day, but I can see my activity levels and the device is consistent on a day by day basis

This is not a useful device if this happens every day.

Nice device, helps track sleep patterns as well as steps.

Let's see if they change my faulty device.

And the main reason i'm writing my review now, 2 months after purchase, is that my device recently spent an entire night in the toilet and still works.

The device itself seems good, but now that either my husband or I won't be able to use the app with it, I don't feel like I'm getting my money's worth out of it.

I like the device but there are nothing but problems with it syncing.

This gets easier after a couple of days and the device itself is great - it has a series of red markers at the top of the display, gently reminding me to get off my keester and start moving

If tracking calories during workouts is a major need, then I would suggest getting the Vivofit with the HRM option, or if your budget allows, then perhaps one of the more accurate Garmin devices, also with the HRM.

So, in the end, nice looking device and great data "in real time" but if you get this one don't rely on the synced information as it doesn't necessarily match what the device shows

For now, I taped the band up with medical tape to protect my skin, leaving the device free of tape of course.

Device failed and went black randomly during the day and a battery change has not resolved the issue

My complaints are that it can only be worn on the wrist and it you don't have a compatible bluetooth device then syncing on a computer can be confusing at first.

I like the device itself, but after about 6 weeks, it quit keeping time.

I am disappointed that the device has a display issue after such a short time.

Just make sure you take a look at your specific needs and get the right device.

The Garmin Vivofit 2 is an excellent product tracking device with an exceptional secure wristband for the active person.

The device after 2 days of use developed an issue with the screen...bad pixels are starting to bleed thru the screen.

Close enough on the mileage, considering I don't train for cubicle-farm marathons, and when I am training, I use more accurate devices.
