The Gator Frameworks boom mic stand is solid, stable and simple to use

Even though the legs are about the same size on both stands, I find that the Gator is a bit more stable; less tippy

Or, for $30 less, you could buy a Musician's Gear stand and have something of slightly less quality but still work about as well as this Gator stand
