I'm hoping when the third replacement comes and it is fully installed, it will sound better when closing the door instead of like a $50 model

Door is defective

Junk.update10/13/17 Replaced faulty door switch, unit worked properly for 6 mo. , failed again today.

GE technicians recommended replacing the door (2 weeks to get the part), but I doubt that it is the problem

VERY WEAK DOOR

This seems like a very nice microwave only problem is shipping ruined it by string all over the box and breaking the door will be exchanged for a new one

Outer door cracked.

After only 7 months of use, the door switch arced and blew the fuse and toasted the control board

Door handle cracked at the top and the bottom screw broke.

Love it even if the door is a little loud when closing!

Also if you close door and internal fan and or light comes on your door latch is NOT engaging the bottom door switch or its also bad!

The microwave was delivered to us with a defective door

It blew a 20amp fuse caused by faulty door microswitches

Immediately after installation (1/2 hour after the serviceman left) it started tripping the breaker during use, a buzzing sound is audible when the door is closed (whether or not it's powered on) and the door is VERY hard to open.

The jvm3160 series has a known defect in the door interlock electrical system that blows the unit fuse if the door is opened while the mw oven is operating

I’ve read about the glass on the door shattering, which scares me, because it’s at eye level, and the handle breaking too
