It has been scratched in different places on the front which is stainless steel so it really shows.

My wife ordered a stainless steel one which I didn't know and I installed the one we got which was

I tested it out for a few days and it functioned fine, so I decided to install it anyways because the damage was mostly limited to areas that would be covered by the cabinets and the remaining damage would be difficult to spot unless you were looking for it (the front, stainless steel, etc areas were fine).

The letters and numbers are light grey on a black background, depending on the model and style (ours is stainless steel)
