The bottom line is the product is inexpensive, easy to install, and works well for its primary advertised purpose as an alarm, but the the advertised "chime" sound is too loud and obnoxious for this to be a suitable doorway monitor.

In the middle of the night one of the alarms fell off the door causing it to go off , it really scared us in the middle of the night , so make sure that you double secure the alarms to the doors unless you want a fright in the middle of the night.

I mounted them using the 3M picture hanging tabs so that the enclosed double sided foam tape wouldn't damage my door frame or trim upon removal
