But the multiplayer is just so unbalanced,so broken,so inconsistent,horribly lacking in content and just so boring and flat that it's quite literally impossible for me to recommend this game to even the most hardcore gears fan

Horrible story, extremely linear, very short, lack of maps, lack of new contentGears of War is the Xbox 360's best series and one of the best of this generation

The biggest frustration is the lack of the 4 weapon series staple, Where as you could have an Assault Rifle, Shotgun, Pistol, and Non-Lethal Grenade you may now only have one Non-Lethal Grenade, One pistol, and Either an Assault Rifle or Shotgun

POOR map layouts, total lack of any story

such as:Lack of multiplayer levels at start, no locusts on multiplayer (besides overrun), the cheap cash grab for skins for guns and characters, and button layout is a bit confusing and different ( meaning if I go back to play the older games I have to get back in the groove of the old layout, but grenades have their own button for quick throw which is good).There are pros too though

What killed this game was the lack of multiplayer offerings to be had after the campaign (which was plenty fun split screen or online btw) was over

I was not thrilled with ANY of the games in this series, as you die in EVERY section played and the chainsaw bayonet fails practically EVERY time I tried to use it on an enemy ... in all 3 games

All in all, the campaign should satisfy gears fans and as for action lovers who want a bunch of uglys surrounding you with bullets going everywhere, you people will love this

I'm going to sell this as fast as I can and go back to Gears 3
