• Reviews around mode (3.13 of 5)

    Gears of War: Judgment

    • However, this mode has several weaknesses, not the least of which is an egregious spike in difficulty from wave to wave, and as mentioned before, lack of on-disc content
    • This mode is pretty fun and would have been a great addition to what had been offered in Gears
    • I love the overrun mode
    • Now, as far as online goes, I do agree that they sped up the online modes much like the COD's and Halo's,
    • Overrun and Domination modes are great.
    • I am so upset my favorite franchise went from a thick meaningful storyline, with a great online mode (downhill since the first one admittedly) is gone
    • Overrun is the new mode
    • the online mode is lacking one of the greatest game modes but has a multitude of new modes
    • Oddly enough Horde mode was omitted from the multiplayer, but they kind of revised it with a new mode called, "Overrun", but it just isn't that good
    • This mode is intense and another small step in the evolution of the Gears multiplayer suite
    • Very limited map selection and also limited game modes
    • ; if no one chooses the soldier, no one can replenish ammo and you will die as soon as you run out of bullets.-Horde and Beast mode somehow didn't make the cut for this game; we were told how survivor was the new Horde and Beast mode.-Never before seen so much money making attempts in DLC-in addition to weapon skins (4000 MS Points), there are character skins (between 4000-5000 MS Points), choice to buy double XP, season's pass ($20), etc.
    • My favorite mode in the previous Gears was Horde and that has been replaced by Survival: a class-based mode where you guard a generator
    • With a 6 hour campaign (Judgment and Aftermath combined), a survival/overrun mode that is a horrible replacement for horde/beast mode, with only 10 waves and 4 maps, and 3 versus modes with only 4 maps, this is just not worth 60 dollars
    • I miss horde mode (sometimes I'd rather not protect something, just survive the round).
    • The changes to multiplayer do take a bit of getting used to but the game options and character customization make the competitive modes a lot of fun and very rewarding.
    • However, I do miss the Horde mode in Gears of War 3 that is NOT in Gears of War Judgement
    • I feel like the game spoiled me even without a season pass there was Beast, Horde, and many different competitive MP modes to play and lots of maps, King of the Hill being my fav
    • They left out Horde mode which no one i shappy about, but the new modes are still good and build a new way of team work!
    • For $60, though, I would've preferred more modes (where's Horde?), more maps and more characters
    • and I'll even play the story again on Insane mode for a bigger challenge, because it really wasn't that hard on hardcore
    • My favorite mode in the previous Gears was Horde and that has been replaced by Survival: a class-based mode where you guard a generator
    • The classic modes are back and feel as solid as ever, but the lack of maps may bore players quicker than previous games
    • Basically, it is one of the best game modes I've ever played in Gears of War
    • Not only is there no Horde mode at all, they have added a TERRIBLE "survival" mode, where you have to defend a silly little objective
    • and I enjoyed just as much as Gears 1,2,3.(Amazon shipped it to me quick 5 stars for shipping)Pro's Good Single Player (opinion)Con's Removed a lot of favorite multiplayer modes.
    • Nothing like playing on normal mode and getting lumped into battle with someone who keeps dying because their trying to get an achievement on hard-core mode.
    • Oddly enough Horde mode was omitted from the multiplayer, but they kind of revised it with a new mode called, "Overrun", but it just isn't that good
    • Bought this late in the shelf life, Great story and very fun overrun multiplayer mode
    • the online mode is lacking one of the greatest game modes but has a multitude of new modes
    • Thus mode is easily better than horde
    • No horde mode, ridiculous in game purchases, unsatisfying campaign, only four - count them - FOUR multiplayer maps
    • It seems watered down in many ways, from the inclusion of more generic multiplayer traits like class-based systems and large, uninspired maps to the exclusion of classic Gears of War staples like horde mode and a wide array of perfectly structured, small scale maps designed to promote bottleneck firefights in competitive modes, it lacks anything distinctive
    • Horde was the best game mode ever, no one can deny
    • I love the new game modes, especially Domination and Overrun.
    • Want to get pissed put it on insane mode or think of the business model used in gaming and add on's and what you really drop to play a game these days
    • This is the most popular game mode at the moment.5
    • I like the changes and the new modes
    • But then they added a deep class system, two fun new game modes, and extremely well designed maps (despite there only being 4 out of the box).
    • Its chaotic and messy and plays akin to horde mode sped up to maximum speed
    • But as my headline states they ruined this game the campaign was by far the best part up until the last boss the guy is just ridiculously easy even on insane mode which was a huge disappointment
    • Locust mode is mediocre at best, since I feel the team class balance is shifted much stronger to the Locust side
    • The multiplayer where do I even begin, people are still complete try hard just running around with gnashers or sawed offs, Only four maps before DLC, few game modes, and what I hate most is Survival and Overrun, both terrible game modes
    • The Competitive multiplayer modes see the return of Team deathmatch, and the new free for all, and domination game modes
    • I should have waited to purchase, but I just couldn't believe they would actually remove the best game mode
    • lolI hope the dlc adds more maps and the mp game modes that were in GOW3 and cool modes like hoarde and beast.
    • Horde mode was by far my favorite mode and it was fun to play with friends
    • I enjoyed Horde mode on GOW2 and Beast mode on GOW3, so it was a little disappointing that they are gone, but the new survival mode is pretty fun
    • Campaign is great as well as the new mode which replaces horde.
    • This mode seems bad at first, but it easily turned into one of my favorites
    • The only mode I liked in this game was Overrun, but with only 4 maps on the disc, it gets old pretty quickly
    • I'm sure there are some tweak to be made, but damn if I'm loving it so much that I don't even see room for improvement! Also, kudos to Epic/PCF for including Survival mode weapon kills as counting toward your medals
    • On the other hand, if you prefer cooperative game modes, like Horde and Beast mode from Gears of War 3, or playing story based campaigns alone, you probably won't like Judgment.
    • This is the best game mode since everyone will be going to the middle to kill each other with gnashers and won't rely on camping so much
    • The game overall IMO is awesome =D, the delivery date was on time and the service is great
    • You have to protect E-
