the tubes and transformers get quite hot; hot enough to justify a protective cage

I will leave out the musical examples ( such as the quite lovely and pure string tone it produces , or the fact that the bass is quick and quite quite good, something tube amps - like my mini watt , which for its price is a great little unit- suffer with usually) and simply say that this is not a 'coloring' or 'sweetening' amp
-
I can't explain it, and there's a ton of reading material on the web that describes why tubes sound warmer than solid state, and I've proven it to myself.
-
This one's good enough for me, good tubes and only took 3-days to get here...

Tube rollers may play with different brands of tubes and different types of permissible tubes like 6L6 / KT77 etc from EH,Gold Lion,Valve Art etc till they find the right tone
-
To me the 10 watts per channel sound like minimum and not the max but that is just a guess and taken from some more powerful tube amps I have had in the past
-
I have tested this with more expensive solid state and tube amps(push pull) and it wins out every time
-
These tubes definitely improved the sound, but not sure I would recommend as they were pretty $$$.

Awesome tube amp for the price
-
The russian re-issue tubes are good but not as warm as PSVANE tubes provided
-
Right off the bat, the amp has the classic tube sound in spades
-
even rolled the tubes yet just under 20 hours on them and i am blown away by the depth of soundstage and how the sound is wider than my speakers
