I guessed i just received a faulty unit.

Used the unit again, no problems.

This unit is not worth the extra money

The new unit worked better but was still not grilling the meat the way I wanted it

My unit did smell very bad the first time I used it -- still stinky, but less so the second time, and there was no odor the third time I used it.

Well, I found out WHY the units were getting damaged

and it's not enough to protect the unit

It is a very good unit and I use it almost every day.

Again, maybe just a defective unit

The unit is awkward without the drip tray.

What good are the digital readouts if they're not giving accurate information?I do plan on doing some research to find out if this is just a faulty unit, or if it is a common occurrence with this "Next Generation Grill".

I simply wiped down the plates with a damp paper towel (while attached to the hot unit, don't try this at home, kids!

We've been using a small GF grill for several years and wanted a unit suitable for larger dinners

The first unit I got had a problem with the heater.

First of all, after three uses, the unit completely "died."

The unit broke after its 2nd use - and could hear stuff rattling around on the inside

But, quickly disappointed as it wasn't a faulty unit but the model itself lacks what any grill should do.

The unit burned out on the first use It heated up to 425 then shut down and would not work

Not sure if this was just because it was a defective unit - but it seems a little unsafe if the item starts to warp when you use it!

The plates are removable for easy cleaning and unit for collation of water and grilling fat makes grilling surface clean and not messy

Dissapointed from day one, slow heating, uneven grilling,poor tasting meat and fish, burned in (I assume plastic) cover
