Really wish you could take the plates off to clean easier, but I knew that going in.

If you don't clean it RIGHT after cleaning, it takes about 3 min to clean the plates once the cooking is done

I purchased this smaller grill because I'm usually just grilling for one and my older and larger Forman grill was beginning to show its age; also I disliked the effort required to clean the larger heating plates

The top plate is usually alway falling out during cooking, though it was secured prior to being pluggedin.

If left plugged in for too long the top plate becomes extremely hot to the touch

Wish the plates came out to clean but it’s a perfect size when cooking for one

Had to replace it because plates got all scratched

the larger one has the detachable plates but still it is easy to clean

The removable plates makes it very easy to clean.

The top plate is much hotter than the bottom plate.

Suddenly I realized that the cover lid produced an air bubble (between the top grilling plate and the black cover - you can see it on the pictures)

the top grill plate is considerably lighter than on the original model.(5) only the drip tray is included with the model; the original grill also included a fork to aid in cleaning the grill plates.(6) shorter power cord, making it a challenge to use if you have other appliances on your counter near outlets or you are more than 12" away from an outlet

I live in a small apartment and this classic plate grill is so useful, so high quality, so practical

The plates are smaller than expected, but works fine

So the reports from others that the plates run too hot is cause for worry

I found it much easier to clean while the plates were still warm

Not usewd it very much will maybe when the weather improves as I have it outside

Does not cook a big chicken breast as good as when I flatten it

Works as it supposed to

The case is not as solid as on my older Salton type design

comes back on as well as when it goes back off and still occasionally manage to overcook things, though I'm getting better at determining how long various things need to remain in the grill.
