I was having issues with wi-fi downstairs since I stream everything (no cable) and have a bunch of smart devices (Nest, Alarm, Ring, wi-fi smoke detectors); my signal was a bit slow
-
The vast majority of routers that I owned were horrible: random disconnects, some devices not connecting, slow, 5ghz band not working
-
We also have quite a few devices connect to our WiFi (usually around 20) and we don't have any issues devices disconnecting from WiFi, unlike our old router

Once the message Nest Wifi is up to date, wireless devices are ready to connect to it

I love the fact that they include a usage tracker which can display your overall network usage as well as a device by device breakdown

Why can't I see something like "which device used up the most bandwidth during the last 24 hours" without staring at my phone for 24 hours

Most devices are fine with the mixed frequency but a few can get confused (and for those it’s generally better to have a dedicated 2.4 GHz).There are two identical routers included in this package and those turn into mesh nodes when on the same network
